What is the difference between RMAN backup and data pump

The two backup methods work at different levels.

A Data Pump backup is a logical backup, whereas an RMAN backup is a physical backup. An export of one or more database schemas once using expdp is known as a database dump. In addition to backing up data, it also backs up DDL (table structures, views, synonyms, stored procedures, packages, etc
