Blacklisting is a security strategy where everything that is known to be malicious is prevented from running on endpoint devices and servers in a given network environment. And it takes a threat-centric or risk-centric approach to block all potentially malicious software from affecting the network. Besides, blacklisting is less secure than whitelisting of applications in an organization.
