Generally speaking, cyber-physical systems (CPS) are systems that integrate sensing, control, communication, computation, and physical processes. Cyber-physical security is thus concerned with protecting those plethora of collaborating technologies and processes occur in CPS.
It is true that the security of information cannot be achieved solely based on technical controls. Physical security plays crucial role in protecting organizational assets as well. Cyber-physical security therefore is a field that combines these logical and physical security mechanisms to holistically safeguard data.
