Fileless malware is another emerging security threat to information systems of organizations. The malware uses legitimate programs to infect computer systems. Moreover, it does not place or inject any file on the target system and does not rely on files. The fileless and stealth nature makes it difficult to detect and remove from information systems.
Fileless malware operates and resides in memory only without installation requirement on disks. Furthermore, the payload (the malicious content of the malware) is never stored on a hard disk.
