Fire suppression systems are physical security components used to contain or extinguish fire in a facility, especially in computer rooms and data centers areas. Fire suppression system detects flames through smoke, heat, and other warning signals in controlled environment and it is integrated with alarm systems to get more effective protection against fire accidents. Furthermore, fire suppression systems function by applying a fire suppressant to the area of the fire, removing one or more of the four components required to sustain the fire.
