What is Mean Time between Failures (MTBF) and what is the difference between Mean Time between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)?
Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) is a measure of the reliability of a system and it is related to the frequency of failure events. Besides, MTBF is the expected amount of time that will elapse between systems failures. Further, it provides the average amount of time before a device of that particular specification fails.
MTBF is the expected typical functional lifetime of the device given a specific operating environment and it is an estimation of the time between the first and any subsequent failures. Whereas MTTR is the average length of time required to perform a repair on the device.
