Pharming attack is attack intended to redirect a website’s traffic to another, perhaps bogus site for various motives. Moreover, it is a malicious attack that redirects the URL (Universal resource locator) or IP address of a valid website to a fake website. Besides, it is similar to DNS poisoning/spoofing attack.
Pharming is an attack that occurs due to the poisoning or spoofing of DNS resolution of hostname to IP address and back. It may also occur because of tampering of local hosts file on a system.
