Shareware is a marketing technique for commercial software. More specifically, shareware is a common method whereby a trial version is distributed in advance and without payment. It is commonly practiced in selling proprietary software products. When the trial version expires, software users will be requested to buy one or the service will be disabled otherwise.
Freeware, on the other hand, is a software that can be used, copied, studied, modified and distributed without restriction and as long as users need it. Both may be supported by adware and other mechanisms to reach potential users.
An adware is a software to generate ads that installs itself on your computer when you download some other program from the worldwide web (www).
