White Noise

White noise simply means broadcasting false information to mask and hide the presence of real electromagnetic emanations. It describes any randomly generated sound, electronic signal, or some sort of process that can drown out meaningful information. Moreover, white noise can comprise a real signal from another source that is not confidential, a constant signal at a specific frequency range or some sort of a randomly generated variable signal. In addition, it can even be jamming signal that makes interception device to fail. Even though this is related to jamming equipment, the goal is to convolute the signal only for the eavesdroppers, not the authorized user, rather than stopping even valid uses of emanation signals. This can differ from audible frequency ranges to inaudible electronic transmissions. Furthermore, it may even involve the deliberate act of creating line or traffic noise to disguise sources or disrupt listening devices.
