Nowadays, certifications have become the main method of proving your qualifications and experiences to employers, recruiters and peers. Besides, according to some studies, certified personnel have higher competitive advantage over their noncertified counterparts in marketplaces and workplaces. Moreover, certification in one or more fields therefore has become the new normal to stay on track and explore better opportunities.

Certifications in all fields can be broadly categorized into vendor specific and vendor neutral ones. But, in this short note, I will highlight some of the prominent vendor specific security certifications. Besides, there is plethora of certificates in both categories that cyber security professionals and managers can choose from.
